What's Next: Upcoming Tournaments Guide

The Poker circuit never really slows down with something huge always happening. But this month stands out among a sea of swanky matches, even more so than usual.

  • Currently the World Series of Poker 2011-12 Circuit is in the third day (May 6-8) of its event at Harrah’s Chester. Live reporting can be found on major poker sites online. Winners have been a combination of those predicted and a few shakeups too. Going into this final day, 11 players remained.
  • The World Poker Tour Season X is reaching its apex with the World Poker Tour World Championship at the Bellagio in Las Vegas from May 19th to 26th.
  • In the middle of that the World Poker Tour High Roller World Championship will be held at the same location from May 23rd to 25th.
  • The World Poker Tour Player of the Year will also be determined during these Vegas tournaments in the B-side gatherings by the over 150 players still in the running for this prestigious title. This is the last event in a long season with Will Failla the current leader by a fairly wide margin.
  • Then, on May 27, the 43rd Annual World Series of Poker kicks into full gear at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino. Events are daily through July 16 and there are still spots at all levels of play.
